This sample was produced to be a non-fonctional CPU known as "Mechanical sample". It looks like a standard Socket 939 CPU, but it was only intended for testing or demonstration. It could be used on all Socket 939 motherboards to test the fixation of heatsinks. This mecanical sample seems to be an electrical sample too because it is able to POST at a clock speed of 2.4 Ghz and runs stable at this frequency.
